The Independence Social Committee hosts a variety of events throughout the year designed to bring neighbors together and strengthen the sense of community.

This year’s Summerfest is bigger than ever and packed with everything that makes Independence such a fun place to live.
We’re kicking things off with a lively beer garden featuring beer from Elizabeth Brewing Company, with proceeds being donated back to a local charitable organization to reinforce our commitment to community.
The day will also include:
· Live music
· Food trucks
· 35+ vendors and local makers
· Family activities and entertainment
· Community partners from across Elbert County
· Games, giveaways and surprises throughout the day
This is more than an event. This is Independence showing up exactly the way we do best — outside, together and celebrating summer with our neighbors.
